Good Morning~I forgot that I had set up a blog last year....then of course, didn't have hardly any access while I was in Uganda. But it seems like the Lord is giving me another opportunity...this time the computer goes with me and I'll get a little access drive to plug into it (using cell phone technology)...hopefully resulting in at least, occasional updates.Good Shepherd has asked our team to return to northern Uganda this summer to continue a training program in the Peace Villages that we spent time in last August. 3 out of the 4 of our team are planning to return and we've added in Lani Russell. a Children's Ministry leader as well. From our experiences last summer, we saw hundreds of people waiting for hours to be seen by our team. Local pastors were there, but we ended up using them for translation for clinic. When they did have opportunity to talk, it seemed more geared to the adults. So we thought "what if we add a CM person in to work with the local churches in the villages?" Arrangements are also being made to have other translators, freeing the pastors up for evangelism. We're excited about what God will do there this summer.
Our doctor from Florida is flying in this weekend for our 'planning retreat', so we're looking forward and appreciate your prayers for that time. Then of course ongoing prayers for our safety, health and stamina as well as the needs of our family here at home. We as a team would also greatly appreciate your prayers for unity for our entire group (we join with a team from Uganda) Unity, flexibility and humble hearts are so essential for God to work in and thru us.
Love Janelle
